The police have confirmed that the encounter was carried out after all four accused tried to escape from the scene while trying to demonstrate the crime at the crime site on Friday morning.
Nirbhaya's mother has reacted by saying at least one accused got justice.

Given that such encounters especially in rape cases win appreciations from the common public who opine that such tough measures are required to deter such crimes, to the contrary the human rights activists vehemently slam such acts and claim them to be fake and unjudicial.
